Dana Scott, LPC

State Director

I joined the NCG community in 2015. I attended The University of Virginia for undergraduate studies and received a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2011. During my last year at UVA, I participated in the Young Women's Leadership Program, where I was a big sister to a middle school girl. This experience made a big impact in my life, and I credit this to choosing to pursue a career in counseling. I received a master's in professional counseling from Liberty University in 2014. I believe in serving the under-served populations and being a source of hope for clients and families as they learn the tools to help navigate the reasons that are leading them into services. My team and I are excited to serve the surrounding community and show them what CARE at NCG is all about!

Site Manager

My name is Troy Payne and I am originally from Philadelphia. I graduated with my BSW from Ferrum College in 1998 and went straight into the field of social work with my internship location. I loved what I was doing and felt I was making a difference in the lives of children and their families. I've worked in various positions, including case manager, mentor, and in-home counselor. I also supervised a mentoring program and starting a Mental Health Support program for two separate agencies. I joined NCG in 2010. In 2016, I decided to return to school to get my Masters in Social Work from Capella University. During my studies, I worked as an outpatient counselor and, following my graduation in 2019, I was promoted to Clinical Supervisor. In 2023, I was honored to accept my current position as Site Manager for the Winchester and Harrisonburg offices. In addition to supervising and training staff, completing assessments, and providing outpatient counseling, I'm now in pursuit of my Doctorate in Social Work. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, cooking, and spending time with my family (both locally and in Philly).

Beth Garner, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

Originally from Maryland, I have enjoyed living in Virginia since 2001.  I received my master's in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and loved doing geriatric case management for the Baltimore County Health Department until my first child was born.  After taking some time off to raise children, I re-entered the field and was blessed to be hired by NCG in 2008.  I currently work supervising and training staff, completing assessments, and providing outpatient counseling.

Nina Siebens, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

I am Nina Siebens, Supervisor at National Counseling Group in the Harrisonburg and Winchester areas of the Shenandoah Valley. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked with National Counseling Group since 2012. My team and I have the privilege of partnering with area individuals, students and families to reach their desired goals. I am fortunate to partner with a team that values individual and family input. Our NCG team promotes working with students, families, individuals, school staff and area agencies, to promote positive long-lasting gains for the individuals, students and families we serve. In my time away from work I love to hike, kayak, continue to learn, stay in touch with family and friends, travel, read, visit museums, walk my dog, and appreciate nature in our beautiful area.
