Meet the Staff
Paul Scardino, LCSW
Director
I have been with NCG since August 2006 and have a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Social Work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I love meeting people and learning about their interests and perspectives. I believe everyone is motivated towards something, and it's our job to guide and support them in finding what that something is. Using pop culture to connect with others has been an effective way for me to build common ground, trust, and provides insight into another person's world. When I'm not at the office, I'm spending time with my family, reading comic books, watching movies and working on my Funko Pop collection (my collection is featured in the 2021 Guinness World Record Book for being the world's largest Funko Pop collection).
Beth Garner, LCSW
Clinical Supervisor
Originally from Maryland, I have enjoyed living in Virginia since 2001. I received my master's in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and loved doing geriatric case management for the Baltimore County Health Department until my first child was born. After taking some time off to raise children, I re-entered the field and was blessed to be hired by NCG in 2008. I currently work supervising and training staff, completing assessments, and providing outpatient counseling.
Nina Siebens, LCSW
Clinical Supervisor
I am Nina Siebens, Supervisor at National Counseling Group in the Harrisonburg and Winchester areas of the Shenandoah Valley. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked with National Counseling Group since 2012. My team and I have the privilege of partnering with area individuals, students and families to reach their desired goals. I am fortunate to partner with a team that values individual and family input. Our NCG team promotes working with students, families, individuals, school staff and area agencies, to promote positive long-lasting gains for the individuals, students and families we serve. In my time away from work I love to hike, kayak, continue to learn, stay in touch with family and friends, travel, read, visit museums, walk my dog, and appreciate nature in our beautiful area.
