Holly Smith, LPC

State Director

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse background treating mental health and substance abuse disorders in multiple settings. I received my Master's degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis in community and addiction from The College of William & Mary in 2007. I have worked in emergency services and crisis intervention for three different Virginia community services boards before coming to NCG. Since 2010, I have been supervising and managing community-based programs in Southwest Virginia and beyond. During my time with NCG, I have served as a Clinical Supervisor, Site Director, Area Clinical Director, and now State Director. My interests include clinical supervision, program management, and leadership, as well as recruiting and training future human services professionals. My true passion is training and guiding the next generation of counselors to help the growing mental health needs in the communities we serve.

Caitlyn Hilland, Resident in Counseling

Site Manager

I joined NCG in 2022 while completing my practicum and internships as part of my master's degree program at Liberty University. With a background in biology and neuroscience, I have always been deeply committed to understanding and helping others. The invaluable experience and support I have received at NCG inspired me to pursue my residency and continue working toward licensure as a professional counselor.

I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, from children to adults, which has provided me with a broad understanding of people across the lifespan. I am passionate about supporting, encouraging, and guiding others in their journey toward growth in a way that best meets their unique needs. Additionally, I am dedicated to fostering growth within myself, my team, and my clients, striving to create meaningful and lasting change for all.

Ashley Olson, Resident Counselor

Clinical Supervisor

I have been with National Counseling Group since 2021, starting as a school and community-based counselor. I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am currently pursuing certification in Play Therapy to further expand my therapeutic skill set. I primarily work with teenagers, and I am passionate about supporting their mental health through meaningful, developmentally appropriate interventions. My focus is on providing compassionate, individualized care that helps youth navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive in all areas of their life.
