Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB) with Enhanced Stabilization
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT │ MEASUREMENT-BASED CARE │ CRISIS DIVERSION
Break the cycle of mental illness
Serious mental illness can be a lifelong struggle requiring dependency on supports and a cycle of expensive crisis management. Our team approach looks at the problem holistically. We target the underlying issues before they surface, strengthen mental health skills, and respond to problems with greater insight and efficiency.

Our approach that makes our skill building services better
We understand that MHSB alone is not sufficient and that mental health issues often require crisis intervention or hospitalization. NCG's program addresses clients' health and functionality while they learn the skills they need to break the cycle.
We take an approach that includes proactive stabilization, mental health skill building, and crisis diversion.

PROACTIVE STABILIZATION
*Medication Management: Ensuring that a client’s medication needs are managed quickly, at intake, and throughout services.
Assessment: A functional assessment by a licensed counselor to determine the client’s stability, treatment, and skill-building needs.
Care Coordination: The ancillary needs of the client are well coordinated to ensure that appointments are made and kept and that everyone is functioning as a team.
Dedicated Prevention Specialist: A prevention specialist focuses on the client’s health and safety, addressing areas to include safety planning reviews, mental health check-ups, stabilization exercises, and medication efficacy.

MENTAL HEALTH SKILL BUILDING
Weekly Instruction: Focused on the skills necessary for independence and psychiatric stability. We target deficits in both daily living and mental health skills.
Measurement-Based Care: Utilizing a “Profile of Participation,” we measure the client’s engagement in daily activities, social roles, and community life, and alter interventions based on data.

CRISIS DIVERSION
Familiar Response: Our prevention specialists already have a relationship with the client and respond to burgeoning crises with knowledge, insight, competence and trust.
Efficient Practice: The combination of proactive stabilization and familiar response allows us to both mitigate crises and reduce the duration of these episodes at a significantly reduced rate than existing crisis response models.
*Medication management and crisis diversion services are available exclusively to clients receiving Mental Health Skill Building services and are not offered as standalone services.
