I have been with NCG since June, 2008. I started out as a Community Based Counselor II, then became a clinical supervisor, and an Assistant Site Director at the Virginia Beach site. I am in the process of becoming a registered play therapist, and have started the Crisis Stabilization Program for children and adults at the Virginia Beach site. I also enjoy reading and watching movies.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology from Saint Augustine’s University in 2013, a Master of Social Work Degree from Norfolk State University in 2019, and I am currently pending licensure. I have experience providing mental health treatment for individuals and families in the school setting and outpatient therapy setting. I have a passion for assisting both individuals and families as they go through different life experiences to guide them on their journey of healing and finding peace. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and sports.
Sara Boyd, MS
Supervisee in Social Work
I joined the NCG team in August of 2022. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Longwood University in 2018, and a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 2023, and I am currently pending licensure. I am very excited to be working in a supervisory setting as I have developed a great passion for fostering growth and development in any way that I can; within myself, my clients, my team, my organization, my community, and my profession. When I am not at work, I am probably doing something outside, like going on a run, walking my dog, or, most importantly, sitting on the beach.
