Holly Smith, LPC

State Director

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse background treating mental health and substance abuse disorders in multiple settings. I received my Master's degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis in community and addiction from The College of William & Mary in 2007. I have worked in emergency services and crisis intervention for three different Virginia community services boards before coming to NCG. Since 2010, I have been supervising and managing community-based programs in Southwest Virginia and beyond. During my time with NCG, I have served as a Clinical Supervisor, Site Director, Area Clinical Director, and now State Director. My interests include clinical supervision, program management, and leadership, as well as recruiting and training future human services professionals. My true passion is training and guiding the next generation of counselors to help the growing mental health needs in the communities we serve.

She is passionate about working with people in the community who are struggling and need to make positive changes in their lives.  Robyn has many years of experience in the mental health field, working with children and families in Therapeutic Foster Care as a Family Consultant and Parent Trainer. She provided Outpatient Counseling to children under 18 and worked as a Program Manager in Therapeutic Day Treatment services. She and her husband of 33+ years have 3 grown sons and 7 grandchildren who are the center of their universe. Robyn is a published author who loves to write and is an online business owner. In her spare time, she loves to thrift shop, go to 80’s hair band concerts, play with the grandbabies, and watch scary movies.

Greer Brieaddy, MA

Clinical Supervisor

Greer is originally from North Carolina but has lived in Virginia since 2014. She originally came to Lynchburg to pursue her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and liked it so much she stuck around after graduating. She has enjoyed working with children (ages 5+), adolescents, adults, couples, and families in an outpatient setting for the last 3 years. She is passionate about working with family of origin issues, relational distress, trauma, anxiety, communication struggles, parenting issues, and complications of divorce. Greer is consistently amazed by the strength and resiliency of clients. It is her goal to create a space for individuals to feel accepted, safe, and empowered during every session. As a supervisor, Greer considers it an honor to support the Lynchburg team of clinicians as they care for those in the community. Greer is pursuing her license in Professional Counseling and her license in Marriage and Family Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys keeping her plants alive, taking walks, traveling, watching movies, and being with friends and family.
