Kristi Brim Rakes, LCSW

Site Director

I have a bachelors in Social Work from UNC-Greensboro, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my Masters of Social Work in 2007.  I have a passion for families and I strive to be a resource to helping people recognize their strengths and assist in giving them the tools to be more successful in their daily lives.  Since obtaining my LCSW in 2010 I have provided individual, and family therapy in an outpatient setting, working with children, adults, and elderly disabled adults.  I have found reward and fulfillment in being able to work with multiple populations.  I am a certified Trauma Focused CBT counselor through NC Child Treatment Program, which has been a great benefit in my work with children, as well as families who have experienced trauma.  I was privileged to be offered a position with NCG and since that time have found a new passion with providing supervision and program oversight, I am able to utilize my past skills as well as being challenged with learning.
