Meet the Staff

Clinical Supervisor
I started working at NCG in August of 2018 as a TDT clinician. In January of 2019 I was offered the chance to work as a clinical supervisor at the Harrisonburg office. I received my Masters degree from Eastern Mennonite University in 2016 and have enjoyed the continued learning that comes from working in the field. I bring with me 10 years of experience working in mental health care. I have worked in both hospital and community settings with people receiving services ranging from psychiatric stabilization to outpatient counseling. I value and respect the tenacity of those I am fortunate to work with and for by continually regarding others as the experts of their experiences. I value an integrated counseling theory with particular emphasis on the importance of the family system, a person-centered process, depth and cognitive-behavioral theories. By understanding people from a variety of perspectives I hope to better meet them in ways that best serve their goals.

Clinical Supervisor
I have worked at NCG for 5 1/2 years as a Clinical Assessment Specialist and was so thrilled when the position was offered to me as a part-time Clinical Supervisor in April 2018. I have loved being able to use my clinical skills to assess and diagnose individuals in order to help them obtain the services they need. While I am at NCG about 20 hours per week, the other part of the work week I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. What I love most about both of these positions is that it is a balance between supervising and working in the field with clients. My favorite part of my work is meeting and talking to different people and hearing their stories. I love working with children and their families and whole heartedly believe that it does, in fact, take a village to raise a child. When I am not at work, I am home with my husband and two daughters. My hobbies include scrapbooking, hiking with the family, and traveling. I love seeing new places and the joy that my daughters have when they see something exciting. I enjoy working at NCG and really feel as though my coworkers are part of a family and team. I look forward to many more years at NCG and helping our agency provide the best care to our clients.

Clinical Supervisor
I'm a Resident in Counseling and attended James Madison University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, where I discovered and honed my interests in attachment theory, diagnosis and case conceptualization, and person-centered therapy. I'm deeply curious about people as individuals, and take great joy in coming to understand how they see the world- and, where I can, helping them achieve their visions. As a clinical supervisor with NCG, I have the daily privilege of supporting and developing the clinical instincts of capable and dedicated mental health professionals, and it's my pleasure to help them help their clients. I practice self-care by spending time with my partner and our three cats, playing games with friends, and tending to my collection of houseplants.
