Meet the Staff

Area Clinical Director

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse background treating mental health and substance abuse disorders.  I received my master's degree in counselor education with an emphasis in community and addiction from The College of William & Mary. I have worked in emergency services and crisis intervention for three different Virginia community services boards. Since 2010, I have been supervising community-based programs in the New River Valley.  My current interests include clinical supervision, program management, and leadership, as well as recruiting and training future human services professionals. I have a natural love of helping people.

Area Personnel Director

I have a bachelors in Social Work from UNC-Greensboro, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with my Masters of Social Work in 2007.  I have a passion for families and I strive to be a resource to helping people recognize their strengths and assist in giving them the tools to be more successful in their daily lives.  Since obtaining my LCSW in 2010 I have provided individual, and family therapy in an outpatient setting, working with children, adults, and elderly disabled adults.  I have found reward and fulfillment in being able to work with multiple populations.  I am a certified Trauma Focused CBT counselor through NC Child Treatment Program, which has been a great benefit in my work with children, as well as families who have experienced trauma.  I was privileged to be offered a position with NCG and since that time have found a new passion with providing supervision and program oversight, I am able to utilize my past skills as well as being challenged with learning.

Clinical Supervisor/Outpatient Therapist

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Radford University. I have resided in the New River Valley since 2002 and love the opportunities afforded in our wonderful part of Virginia. My professional background includes treating mental health needs across all age groups in the home and community settings, with an emphasis on working with adolescents and young adults. My personal interests include spending time with my family, reading, attempting to tap into my artistic side, and connecting with nature. I love being able to assist others in reaching their personal goals and feel empowered in taking control of their own mental health needs. I am excited to be with the wonderful NCG team and for the amazing people I get to work with every day.

Clinical Supervisor

I am currently in supervision to be a Licensed Professional Counselor and anticipate to complete my residency by the Fall of 2019. I moved to the NRV in July 2014 and have worked for NCG since November 2015. I attended graduate school at Radford University and have earned a Masters in Counseling and Human Development. My professional background includes working with adults and children with serious mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and survivors of sexual assault. My passions include crisis stabilization, family systems, and working with children. In my free time I enjoy connecting with nature, listening and dancing to music, spending time with friends, and traveling. I am excited to witness and be a part of the NCG team as we continue to grow and serve the New River Valley and surrounding areas of Southwest Virginia!
