Nakkia Brickhouse, LCSW, RPT-S

State Director

I have been with NCG since June, 2008. I started out as a Community Based Counselor II, then became a clinical supervisor, and an Assistant Site Director at the Virginia Beach site. I obtained my B.S. from Old Dominion University and my MSW degree from Norfolk State University. I am in the process of becoming a registered play therapist, and have started the Crisis Stabilization Program for children and adults at the Virginia Beach site. I also enjoy reading and watching movies.

Huy Trinh, M.Ed, Resident in Counseling

Site Manager

Huy Trinh is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. He received his Bachelors in Psychology and his Masters in Education in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University. Huy has worked in the mental health field since 2012, providing various services such as Intensive In-Home, Mental Health Skill-building, Therapeutic Mentoring, Residential Diversion, Home-Based Counselor, and Outpatient Therapy. Huy has worked with various populations including children, adolescents, adults, and parents. Huy implements a person-centered and reality-based approach for his therapeutic interventions. In his free time, Huy enjoys going to the movies, hiking, traveling and trying new foods.

Robert Purdie, LCSW

Clinical Supervisor

Robert grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2005) he relocated to Orlando, Florida where he received his Master of Social Work from University of Central Florida (2014).  While living in Orlando for 16 years he worked in a variety of social service areas from primary care/hospital, community-based outpatient therapy with children, adolescence, adults, and older adults, hospice, and substance use/recovery.  Since returning to Virginia in 2021, Robert has been in a clinical supervisory position in substance use, crisis services, and now here at NCG.  Robert enjoys getting out and enjoying RVA city, reading, and going to the movies.
