Meet the Staff

Site Director

I have always enjoyed learning about others; finding out what they value and empowering them to make choices that lead them to accomplish goals they themselves have created. Playing this role is my life's passion, along with spending time with my wife and daughter. Not to mention being a total comic book nerd; I could spend all day at the local comic shop talking with the other customers and to the owner about the comic industry! I am also always up for a game of chess, ping pong, or tennis.

Assistant Site Director

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; also known as the city of brotherly love. Being from the city, I am used to noisy crowds, lively culture, and endless opportunities to experience rich history. In Winchester and Front Royal, I now enjoy small-but-close communities centered on family. I am passionate about education and learning, specifically in the mental health field and decided to complete my master's in mental health counseling. When I was younger I wanted to be a teacher and a writer, with the latter still being my unfulfilled dream. I have been with NCG since 2009 and I have been fortunate to be able to pursue my passion.... not in the classroom, but where teaching really begins... in the home. For me, providing care and helping families and individuals to navigate through life’s challenges--by discovering their inner strengths and surrounding resources--has proven to be deeply rewarding and fulfilling.

Remember, Your Care Starts Now with NCG!

Clinical Supervisor

I joined NCG in 2007 as a community based counselor and became a supervisor for home based and skill building services in 2008. My passion is working with young children, utilizing play and art to assist children with expression of feelings. I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and daughter, especially when enjoying the breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley in the fall.

Clinical Supervisor

Originally from Maryland, I have enjoyed living in Virginia since 2001. I received my master's in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and loved doing geriatric case managment for the Baltimore County Health Department until my first child was born. After taking some time off to raise children, I re-entered the field and was blessed to be hired by National Counseling Group in 2008. I currently work supervising and training staff, completing assessments, and providing outpatient counseling.

Clinical Supervisor

Gail Ketola is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experiences working with government, private, not-for profit, and public agencies.  She graduated from Empire State College and then received her Master's from Roberts Wesleyan.  Gail has since gone on to receive special training in working with people in crisis, assessing and treating trauma, and working with military families.  She enjoys bringing her experience to her supervision of our TDT staff as well as supervising clinicians in the process of getting their license.  In her down time, Gail enjoys spending time with her grown children, hiking, being on the water, and camping.

Clinical Supervisor

I was born and raised in Front Royal, VA and absolutely love that I still live in the Shenandoah Valley and have the opportunity to make a positive impact in our area. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have enjoyed the experience of counseling in the home, private practice, and school settings. I am very passionate about working with families and am blessed to have a wonderful family of my own- my husband and our two sweet children. I love spending time with them as well as my extended family. My free time is otherwise spent volunteering with Young Life in Warren County, hanging out with friends, and taking fun classes at the gym.

Clinical Supervisor

I am a clinical supervisor for the Warren County Therapeutic Day Treatment Program for National Counseling Group. I have extensive experience and training both in psychiatric social work settings (including hospital and adult and adolescent daycare facilities), as well as with special education services in schools, working with children of all ages and their families. I work to help children, teens, and families identify factors that may enhance their personal growth. I love the outdoors and especially enjoy hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. I enjoy incorporating the appreciation of nature in my own life as well as in my work with clients.
